Hedges will be cut back up to twice a year between August and the end of February, this is to avoid bird nesting season (March-July).
Bird nesting sites are protected under the Wildlife & Countryside Act (WCA), which in short means that it’s illegal to destroy an active nest or its contents.
If you want to find out more about the laws regarding hedge cutting, please visit the RSPB website.
If you live in a general needs site, window cleaning will take place twice annually to communal windows only. If you live in sheltered housing or over 55’s accommodation, your windows will be cleaned quarterly.
This morning two persons from Accuro came and gritted the access road, carpark area and the footpaths in the back garden at Arthur Street. They used a rolling device that scattered the grit giving it a very even distribution. This work was done quickly with no disruption and both individuals took a professional attitude to the work being done and were thorough.
I just want to say thanks for the good job this morning and for the positive attitude of Shaun and Chris.
[We] are very pleased with the service [provided by Pinnacle].

Our contractor Accuro, who cover the north region, collected an astonishing 72,678 tons of bulky waste between July 2018 and July 2019.
If you have larger waste or recycling that you want to get rid of, there are a number of options available to you.
Bulky waste collections are for items from your home that are too big to fit in your normal residential waste bin.
Please help us to reduce the amount of bulky waste collected by our contractors.
Please consider donating any unwanted items that are in good condition to charities and other organisations that could make use of them.
Furniture and electrical items can be collected for free by many charities and community projects. You would need to contact them individually to find out what they take and how to arrange a collection.
Find a charity
There are also websites that can help people give items in good condition to each other for reuse and recycling:
Some people choose to sell items they no longer want using online auction sites and social media. Beds, furniture, and electrical items (even if they no longer work) are often bought and sold privately.
There is some general advice on how to do this safely on GetSafeOnline.org.
If your bulky items aren’t in good condition, you can take them to a local recycling centre. See your local council website for further details.
Don't dump it
Fly-tipping is a crime and you could face a £400 fixed penalty notice. Dumping old furniture and other items on the street or in your back lane, is fly-tipping.
